AVIATION PHYSIOLOGY AND HUMAN FACTORS INDOCTRINATION FOR AIRCREW TRAINEES



Introduction

This course is designed for ab initio aircrew trainees, both pilot trainees and non-pilot aircrew trainees. It is a comprehensive course that introduces the participants to the aviation physiology and human factors challenges associated with flying. Through didactics, simulators and case studies, the aircrew trainee gets a comprehensive awareness of the issues of concern.



Objectives

At the end of this course, the participant is expected to acquire:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of the aviation physiological hazards associated with flying;
  2. Personal experience in various Aviation Physiology simulators such as Hypobaric Chamber, Spatial Disorientation Trainer, Night Vision Trainer, Oxygen System Trainer and Ejection Seat Trainer;
  3. Awareness of the cognitive human factors issues in flying.

The duration of the course is 5 days.
