HUMAN FACTORS AND CRM FOR MILITARY AIRCREW



Introduction

The complex human machine and human-human interfaces of military flying under time and mission pressure is always a cognitive challenge for pilots and aircrew and they benefit immensely by gaining insight into cognitive human factors aspects of military flying.

We recommend that all pilots and aircrew attend this course once every 3 years.



Objectives

At the end of this course, the participant is expected to acquire:

  1. An overview of cognitive human factors aspects such as attention, memory, teamwork, information procession, CRM, Situation Awareness;
  2. Working knowledge on prevention, recognition and management of stress and fatigue;
  3. Valuable lessons in cognitive human factors and Crew Resources Management/ Cockpit Resources Management/ Total Resources Management by reviewing relevant case studies.
