ESCAPE AND EJECTION TRAINING FOR FIGHTER PILOTS



Introduction

This is a half-day course to train pilots who fly ejection seat aircraft. The course focuses on safety aspects of ejection such as body posture and safe parachute landing. It also extends into some generic principles of survival but does not replace a traditional course on survival taught at various survival schools.

We recommend that all pilots who flying aircraft with ejection seats attend this course once every 3 years.



Objectives

At the end of this course, the participant is expected to acquire:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge on body position for safe ejection;
  2. Personalized training in ejection posture in the Ejection Seat Trainer;
  3. Awareness of issues that enable safe parachute landing and enhance survivability in various survival situations till evacuated by search and rescue teams.


Duration

The duration of the course is half a day.



Course Content

  1. Didactics on safe ejection
  2. Didactics on safe parachute landing
  3. Didactics on survival in jungle, desert, arctic and sea
  4. Relevant case studies and videos
  5. Practical ejection simulation on the Ejection Seat Simulator that includes live controlled ejection with feedback with recorded video.
