Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Recertification Course
National Resuscitation Council (NRC, Singapore) accredited Training Centre |
Introduction
The BCLS Recertification course is for the participants to renew their existing BCLS certification. The participant will
be recap on the knowledge and skills for resuscitating the collapsed adult and infant victims.
Successful candidates will be awarded with a BCLS certificate accredited by National Resuscitation Council (NRC, Singapore) with 2-year
validity. |
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the rescuer’s role in the chain of survival
- Activate the appropriate emergency response system
- Perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adult and infant victims
- Relief foreign body airway obstruction in a conscious and unconscious adult and infant victim

- Introduction to CPR
- Basic Structure and functions of organs in CPR
- One-Rescuer Adult CPR
- Adult Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
- One-Rescuer Infant CPR
- Infant Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
- Practical session
- Theory Test (MCQ) and Practical Test (scenario-based)
