Heartsaver CPR Course (AHS CPR)
National Resuscitation Council (NRC, Singapore) accredited Training Centre



Introduction

The Heartsaver CPR course covers simple yet critical skills needed in an emergency. It equips the participants with the knowledge and skills to perform correct and effective CPR and rescuing the choking adult victim while waiting for the ambulance or help to arrive.

Participants will be awarded with a Heartsaver CPR certificate accredited by National Resuscitation Council (NRC, Singapore) upon completion of the course with 2-year validity.



Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the rescuer’s role in the chain of survival
  • Activate the appropriate emergency response system
  • Perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adult victims
  • Relief foreign body airway obstruction in a conscious adult victim


Course Content

  • Introduction to CPR
  • Basic Structure and functions of organs in CPR
  • One-Rescuer Adult CPR
  • Adult Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
  • Recovery position
  • Practical session
  • Theory Test (MCQ) and Practical Test (scenario-based)


Who Should Attend

  • Gym & fitness instructors, lifeguards, sportsmen, teachers, and members of the public


Course Pre-requisites

  • Able to understand English
  • Must be able to endure moderate physical exertion
  • Not recommended for those in late pregnancy or back injuries
