Occupational First Aid Course with CPR+AED (OFAC)
Ministry of Manpower accredited ATP



Introduction

First Aid at the workplace is of paramount importance. Accidents can happen anywhere, and having the knowledge and skills in First Aid & CPR could mean the difference between life and death.

The provision of prompt first aid for injured workers is a legal requirement under Section 58 of the Factories Act of the MOM Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations March 2006.

This course will incorporate both the theoretical and practical aspects of Occupational First Aid and CPR. At the end of the course, participants will sit for an assessment made up of a MCQ paper and a practical test on CPR and Bandaging.

Upon completion, participants will be awarded a certification in Occupational First Aid, which is accredited by the Ministry of Manpower and is valid for 3 years.



Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • To equip participants with the ability to act safety, promptly and effectively when an emergency arises
  • To equip participants with the ability to administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) promptly and effectively
  • To enable participants to recognize common major illness

  • Fractures and Soft Tissue Injuries management
  • Handling and Transportation of the Injured
  • Bandages and their applications
  • Revision
  • Written and Practical Examination


Who Should Attend

All employees especially those in safety, Emergency Response Teams (ERT), managers, supervisors, frontline staff, safety personnel and those working in potentially hazardous environment.
