Standard First Aid Refresher Course (SFA) |
Introduction
The Standard First Aid Refresher course is for the participant who already possesses a valid SFA certificate which is
nearing expiry and wishes to renew this certification.
This course will incorporate both the theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid and CPR. At the end of the course, participants will sit for an
assessment made up of a MCQ paper and a practical test on CPR and Bandaging.
Upon completion, participants will be awarded a certification in Standard First Aid, valid for 3 years. Certification is recognised by the Singapore
Sports Council for the National Registry of Coaches and the Singapore Swimming Association. |
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- To equip participants with the ability to act safety, promptly and effectively when an emergency arises
- To equip participants with the ability to administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) promptly and effectively
- To enable participants to recognize common major illness

- An Unconscious Victim

- Fractures and Soft Tissue Injuries management
- Handling and Transportation of the Injured
- Bandages and their applications
